Participant features are described for participants (including PDF downloads) in our Participant FAQs. Once an account is created for a participant with his/her name, email address and date of birth, the participant may download the Fitbit Plus app via the welcome email generated when the coach created the account, or directly from the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play (Android).
Note: If the participant does not have a smartphone, he/she can access Fitbit Plus through a compatible web browser on a computer (app.plus.fitbit.com).
Tip: Ask all participants to allow push notifications (this allows for health action reminders and messages to trigger notifications) and automatic app updates (ensures the latest updates are automatically available to the participant).
Fitbit Plus's participant app provides participants with four main functions:
completing health actions
sending and receiving messages,
monitoring progress, and
viewing calendar appointments
COMPLETING HEALTH ACTIONS
On this page, the participant checks off health actions as he/she completes them by selecting the empty circular icon next to the health action.
SENDING AND RECEIVING MESSAGES
The messages page is where a participant can read and send messages to their coach.
The progress page displays the progress made toward each health action in the plan.
VIEWING CALENDAR APPOINTMENTS
The calendar page displays all scheduled calendar appointments along with appointment details.
